Minecraft 2 Officially in the Works, Set for July 2027 Release

After A Minecraft Movie crushed it at the box office this spring, Warner Bros. has officially greenlit a sequel. Minecraft 2 is currently in development and is set for release in theaters on July 23rd, 2027.

The original film, starring Jack Black, Jason Momoa, Danielle Brooks, and Jennifer Coolidge, tallied nearly $1 billion internationally and is currently available to rent or purchase on digital platforms and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray.
