National Popcorn Day 2026 Deals Include Free Popcorn, $5 Buckets

National Popcorn Day returns on Monday, January 19th, bringing limited promotions and discounts to moviegoers at major chains including AMC, Cinemark, and Regal.

Cinemark Theatres arguably offers the best deal, allowing guests to fill their own bucket for $5 on both January 18th and 19th. Most containers are limited to 400 ounces (the equivalent of two extra-large popcorns), but they will also fill an official Lowe’s five-gallon bucket (or 640 ounces) for the same price, thanks to a special partnership. Meanwhile, Regal is handing out a free large popcorn to anyone who arrives in a movie-themed costume, and AMC theatergoers can score unlimited refills on any size.
