As the latest signing to Sumerian Records, Static Dress join the likes of Bad Omens, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Poppy. Speaking of the signing, label president Shawn Keith says: “As Sumerian Records celebrates 20 years, we will usher in a new era of authentic and
unconventional talent. Static Dress represents the quality of artistry we want to support.”

Static Dress add: “Shawn and the rest of Sumerian have believed in Static Dress for years completely selflessly. Now, our paths have finally crossed at just the correct time, allowing us to execute this band in the way we always wanted to. No compromises, no forced ideas, no inauthenticities. They run a label like a label should be ran; actual people promoting music for fans, not just a wannabe money printing machine.”

Alongside the announcement, the band have released "human props", their first new music since previous single "face", which dropped last April. The track sees Static Dress lean into their heavier work to push against "constantly-scrolling culture", marking the beginning of a new chapter for the band.

Static Dress are currently supporting Paleface Swiss on their tour of the UK and Europe, alongside Stick To Your Guns. With a show taking place tonight (15 January) in Manchester, the band are set to continue through Glasgow and London, before concluding their UK run in Bristol.
