California's Olivia Austin has been releasing music under the moniker Operelly for a few years, and last year she shared her debut EP Handwriting Practice No.1 via deadAir Records, which is home to acts like Jane Remover and Prostitute. Now she's back with her second EP, *FLUTTERS AWAY*.

*FLUTTERS AWAY* flits between electronic and acoustic, but no matter which sound she inhabits, it's intimate and slightly off-kilter. She names Stereolab and Broadcast as influences, the latter of which is the most palpable on glitchy tunes like "Under my bed," which feels like drifting through a video game. In an interview with frequent Stereogum contributor Eli Enis for his blog Chasing Sundays, she also mentioned Joanna Newsom and the Magnetic Fields as influences. Flutter away into *FLUTTERS AWAY* below.
