After announcing late last year that she had a new album on the way, Tori Amos has revealed more details of In Times of Dragons. It’s the follow up to 2021’s Ocean to Ocean, and last year’s soundtrack to her children’s book Tori and the Muses, and it’s due out May 1 via Universal/Fontana. “In Times of Dragons is a metaphorical story about the fight for Democracy over Tyranny, reflecting the current abhorrent non accidental burning down of democracy in real time by the ‘Dictator believing Lizard Demons’ in their usurpation of America,” she says. You can see the cover art, created by photographer Kasia Wozniak and stylist Karen Binns, below.
Tori also announced a US summer tour, which will have her joined by regular bandmates Jon Evans and Ash Soan, as well as backing singers Liv Gibson, Deni Hlavinka and Hadley Kennary. See all dates below.
The NYC shows are on July 24 and 25 at Beacon Theatre. Tickets for those and all dates go on sale Friday, January 23 at 10 AM local, with an artist presale starting Wednesday, January 21 at 10 AM local.
Tori hasn’t shared any music from In Times of Dragons yet; stay tuned.
