VTO Records Drops Women-Led ‘CODE:HER’ EP

**VTO Records’ CODE:HER highlights four women in neurofunk and drum and bass who are currently dominating dancefloors in honor of International Women’s Day.**

VTO Records is keen on showcasing diverse talent in the neurofunk drum and bass genre. Leaning towards a sci-fi-inspired aesthetic, the independent label is known for its various compilations that venture on the dark and techy side. For International Women’s Day, the men on the label are stepping back and handing the reins to four talented women who arecurrently dominating the neurofunk realm. The result is CODE:HER, a four-track EP that shares the vision of four neurofunk badasses who are redefining the genre through technical prowess and uncompromising community.

CODE:HER is crafted, created, and curated all by returning VTO artist, MEL. And it made sense that her track, “Enigma,” would open the EP. The snarling reeses and built-up tension set the stage for what’s to come. The next two tracks are from artists making their VTO debuts. SIREN’s “Self Destruct” is an aggressive, dancefloor heavy-hitter, while TheLena’s “Drifting” is a face-melting mesh of amens, neuro, and rave flair. VTO artist Jane Doe closes out the EP with “Knock Out,” an explosive and gritty neuro-filled track that packs a punch.

The compilation EP is a true celebration of women in neurofunk, as they give each other their flowers for their hard work in a genre that is normally dominated by men. And all in celebration of International Women’s Day, it’s such a beautiful thing to hear. More of this, please!
