Manchester 'Britainicana' four-piece Westside Cowboy, Dublin folk sextet Madra Salach, Melbourne 80s indie-inspired outfit Radio Free Alice, and Liverpool punk-rock pop band Girl Group are among the 100 or so emerging names set to play across a dozen of Leeds' best independent venues, bars, and creative spaces.
The final additions complete one of the biggest Live at Leeds: In The City editions to date that already includes the likes of Jalen Ngonda, Divorce, Katy J Pearson, Fat Dog, Fcukers, Honeyglaze, Panic Shack, Warmduscher, andn Leeds’ very own own dance-rock sextet Adult DVD.
Also announced today is a partnership with Yorkshire-based talent development program Launchpad which will open up the festival's stages to the region’s up and coming artists, giving them a platform to get their music heard and seen by industry experts and new fans. The program has been offering opportunities and support for emerging artists, musicians, producers, composers and music professionals in the Yorkshire region since 2019, with tailored industry mentoring, training and connections as well as funding towards recording and live opportunities.
