WU LYF are back to announce their first new album in 15 years, A Wave That Will Never Break, out on April 10th. They’ve also revealed the new song “Love Your Fate.”

A Wave That Will Never Break serves as the English indie rock band’s second album, following their 2011 debut Go Tell Fire to the Mountain. It will be released on April 10th via the band’s L Y F community and will not be available on any major streaming services. The album was produced by Sonic Boom, known for his role in Spacemen 3 and his collaborations with Panda Bear, Beach House, and more.

WU LYF had originally broken up in 2012 after the release of their debut album; they publicly announced their reunion in March 2025 and offered their first new song in 13 years, “A New Life Is Coming.” After a brief stretch of reunion shows in the UK and Europe, WU LYF announced a 2026 North American tour in January and revealed their new album’s first single, the 11-minute “Tib St. Tabernacle.” The North American tour kicks off in Brooklyn on March 24th and runs through cities like Boston, Toronto, Chicago, Seattle, and more, concluding with a pair of shows in Los Angeles on May 8th and 9th. “The vision for the L Y F has been with us since the start,” the band said in a statement. “Way back in 2010 when we first sold the white on white bandana with the Heavy pop / Concrete Gold 12” — We foresaw a community of like-minds that would gather around the flame of our music, and through whose direct support we could operate with freedom, autonomy & the truth; to play our own (infinite) game — alas we were young, foolish, and didn’t have the means or the infrastructure for the impulse to reach its full potential. Now 15 years later here we are — the initial version of the L Y F membership platform has been an experimental proof of concept — we have learnt a lot from it over the past year and behind the scenes we have been building Version 2.0.”

The band’s latest offering from A Wave That Will Never Break is “Love Your Fate,” a warm, passionate turn from the Manchester group. Much of the song is rooted in a skittering, percussive groove from drummer Joe Manning, with frontman Ellery James Roberts howling with his signature gritty baritone. “I’m trusting my heart and loving my fate,” he sings in the chorus, the words tumbling out of his throat as his band escalates towards indie rock majesty.
