The HBO drama series Euphoria is now set to return for Season 3 this April, with a trailer to prove it — something once almost thought impossible, given the way cast members Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney, have become legitimate movie stars since the end of Season 2 in 2022.
The new trailer reveals that unlike Stranger Things, we won’t be expected to believe that these twenty-somethings are still in high school — Rue and the gang are instead finding that young adulthood has its pluses and minuses, depending on your level of wealth and mental stability. According to the official description from HBO, Season 3 will focus on “a group of childhood friends wrestle with the virtue of faith, the possibility of redemption, and the problem of evil.” This appears to involve Martha Kelly embracing her inner badass, which sounds pretty cool.
The rest of the series regular cast includes Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Chloe Cherry, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Toby Wallace. Guest stars for Season 3 include Colman Domingo, Sharon Stone, ROSALÍA, Danielle Deadwyler, Marshawn Lynch, Eli Roth, and Natasha Lyonne
Euphoria, despite a baffling Season 2 finale, received 25 Emmy nominations and nine wins for its first two seasons, including two Lead Actress in a Drama wins for Zendaya. The series premieres April 12th on HBO and HBO Max.
