Alice Cooper performed a surprise cover of the Nirvana classic “Smells Like Teen Spirit” at a recent headlining show for his annual Coopstock festival.
The performance also showcased Cooper’s new touring guitarist Anna Cara, who recently stepped in to replace Nita Strauss (currently out on maternity leave as she is expecting her first child). Cara sounds like she fits perfectly in the esteemed rocker’s band.
Coopstock is a yearly festival hosted by Alice Cooper, and is currently in its 28th year. Proceeds from the event are set to go toward Cooper’s Solid Rock Teen Centers, which provide free music, art and dance programs for youths.
Fans can catch Cooper on his upcoming spring US tour, which kicks off April 14th in San Antonio, Texas, and runs through a May 9th gig in Camden, New Jersey. Pick up tickets here.
