"An album to reflect the everyday miracles in people’s lives": Alexis Ffrench announces 24 for October release

The pianist and composer recorded the album oer ten days at Miraval, the Provence studio owned by Brad Pitt and Damien Quintard with sessions making use of a range of vintage grand pianos, upright pianos and organs, with additional textures provided by percussion, harp and upright bass as part of a string ensemble.

New single "Good Morning" serves as the record’s opening statement and is described by Ffrench as “a burst of positivity at the start of the day”, inspired by a close friend’s habit of vocalising what he is grateful for each morning. The track offers a window into the album’s broader themes: everyday rituals, human connection, and what Ffrench calls “the everyday miracles in people’s lives”.

Speaking about the motivation behind the record, Ffrench says: “I wanted this album to reflect the everyday miracles in people’s lives.”

The announcement coincides with the launch of Ffrench’s new Classic FM show, Music to Live By, which begins on 10 April at 9pm. The eight-week series explores how classical music can soundtrack daily life, examining its influence on pop ballads, rock’n’roll and West Coast hip-hop among other genres.
