Céline Dion has released a new song titled “Dansons,” marking her first original material since 2023. Stream it below.
Sung in French, “Dansons” was written by Dion’s frequent collaborator Jean-Jacques Goldman and is described in a press release as representing “fierce defiance in the face of instability and the joy of connection through music.”
Goldman and Dion last worked together on the 2016 song “Encore un soir,” but their most successful collaboration was 1995’s D’eux, the best‑selling French‑language album of all time.
“Dansons” arrives alongside a lyrics video filmed in the streets of Paris by Maxime Allouche, featuring a wide array of couples expressing their love through embrace and dance. Watch it below.
Dion’s last new music was five songs she recorded for the soundtrack to the 2023 romcom Love Again, in which the singer appeared as a fictionalized version of herself opposite Priyanka Chopra and Sam Heughan. Her most recent studio album, Courage, was released in 2019.
The song’s release comes while Dion prepares for her big return to the stage on September 12th at Paris La Défense Arena, where she will play a five-week residency featuring 16 performances through October 17th. The concerts mark her first since being diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome in December 2022. Look for tickets here.
