Independent Venue Week Ambassadors Nova Twins, Brògeal, and Eve Goodman to play exclusive live shows

Nova Twins were announced as Independent Venue Week's 2026 Artist Ambassadors back in October for effecting positive change, which saw them push MOBO to recognise alternative music with its own category for the first time with a 2022 campaign, and launch the Nova Twins Creative Musicianship Scholarship at ICMP, which funds three years of tuition for aspiring musicians.

As part of this year's edition of Independent Venue Week, Nova Twins will return to their South London roots for a one-off show at The Amersham Arms on Tuesday, 27 January. General tickets for the show go on sale on Friday, 9 January at 10 AM, and are available here.

Speaking of their homecoming performance, Nova Twins say: “We’re SO excited to be playing Amersham Arms on Jan 27th for Independent Venue Week! This is such a special space for us, we cut our teeth on that stage many times in our teen years and have so many fond memories there. From our very first bands to forming Nova Twins, it’s been a staple for us, shaping our growth and helping build our community. We can’t wait to put on an intimate show to celebrate independent venues, we must keep protecting them!”

The week will also feature performances from Scottish Ambassadors, Brògeal, and Welsh Ambassador Eve Goodman. Brògeal are set to play MacArts in Galashiels on 30 January and The Venue in Dumfries on 31 January, while Goodman will play a solo show at Caffi Isa in Mold on 26 January in addition to two already scheduled sets.

Established in 2013, Independent Venue Week has worked to encourage community support for local independent venues, with more than one million tickets sold for various shows since its launch. Some of the artists performing during the week include Dove Ellis, Sorry, The Bug Club, Silver Gore, HotWax, and more. This year, 236 venues across the UK will be participating.
