Jack White has been added as a last-minute addition to Coachella’s Weekend 1 lineup on Saturday afternoon.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will perform a 45-minute set on the Mojave stage beginning at 3:00 p.m. In recent years, that time slot has been reserved for surprise performances; Weezer, blink-182, and Arcade Fire have all taken the Mojave for last-minute sets.
In other news, White followed up his Jack Black SNL crossover episode with another late-night appearance on Monday’s episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. White recounted his earliest musical memories in Detroit, shared a few fond memories of his late mother, and discussed his passions for sculpting, upholstery, and poetry. His new book, Jack White Complete Lyrics and Selected Writing Vol. 1, is out now.
