The singer recently made an appearance on Celebrity Big Brother, where she was subject to inappropriate comments and behaviour from actor Mickey Rourke.
The Wrestler star was issued a formal warning for homophobic language after telling then-lesbian Siwa: “If I stay longer than four days, you won’t be gay any more”.
He went on to say that he was “going to vote the lesbian out real quick”, to which Siwa overheard and replied: “That’s homophobic, if that was your reasoning.”
ITV later announced Rourke’s removal from the Big Brother house, saying in a statement: “Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behavior.”
Rourke later apologised to Big Brother after being reprimanded for his behaviour, saying: “I apologise. I’m sorry. I can’t take it back, you know, I stepped over the line. And I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing. ‘Cause I lost my temper, and I’ve been trying to work on it my whole life and I wish I would have had better self-control and I’m very sorry.”
