Formed by lead vocalist Zofia Smith and guitarist Liam Armstrong during their time as roommates, with the addition of guitarist Raines Lucas, drummer Kevin Seebeck, and bassist Teddy Nordvold, she's green have developed a live presence as part of Minneapolis’ DIY scene, with two self-produced EPs under their belt — wisteria (2023) and Chrysalis — as well as spots supporting Blondshell and Softcult. "paper thin" arrives as the second preview of swallowtail, following previous single mettle.
Speaking about the new single, Smith says: “‘paper thin’ explores the power of lust in a dying relationship: how it can be confused for love when in reality, the relationship has already faded.”
The band's latest collection of songs sees them work with Sonny DiPerri (DIIV, julie) to streamline their sound, with the tracks showcasing more mature, emotional, and confident songwriting. Following their sold-out debut London headline show last year, she's green are set to make their UK return with a performance at Reading & Leeds Festival, with further live dates to be announced.
