SLIFT detail upcoming album, Fantasia

Fantasia, the band's fourth album, follows their 2023 sci-fi story album Ilion. "A Storm of Wings" arrives as the first preview of the upcoming collection of songs, which promises to be SLIFT's leanest and most direct work to date.

Fantasia is composed of eight songs and runs under fifty minutes. While their previous album was built on the foundations of doom metal and stoner rock, with more complex instrumentals, the new work is noted as more pointed, allowing the band to capture the turmoil of the present day while also offering a hopeful vision. Most of the songs were started by guitarist Jean Fossat, before being taken to basement rehearsals to be expanded on by his brother and bassist Rémi Fossat, and drummer Canek Flores. The songs were largely made in a single take at Belgium's Daft Studios.
