Turnstile stopped by Australian radio station triple J to perform a cover of The Stone Roses’ “I Wanna Be Adored” for its long-running Like a Version series.

The Baltimore band’s rendition of “I Wanna Be Adored” is a clean combination of their dreamiest impulses and their rock-forward energy. Taking the tempo up just a tad from the original, Turnstile bring a touch of restlessness to the cover; frontman Brendan Yates powers through his vocal performance with passion, nailing a few arching belts as the band plays behind him with poise. Turnstile, our 2025 Band of the Year, have plenty ahead of them in 2026 as they continue to support their fourth album NEVER ENOUGH. They have a large slate of festival appearances to come, including stops at Coachella, Bonnaroo, Osheaga, Shaky Knees, and a handful of European and UK fests. As for The Stone Roses, the Manchester band recently mourned the loss of their longtime bassist Gary “Mani” Mounfield, who died on November 20th at the age of 63.
