Noah Kahan’s 2027 Destination Festival Out of the Blue Might Be the Ultimate Kahan’t Miss Experience

1 hour ago 2

So, this Noah Kahan guy is, um, pretty popular, eh? The acclaimed indie folk artist has been on a tear since breaking onto the scene with hits like “Stick Season,” most recently continuing his hot streak with his latest album, The Great Divide, which dropped earlier this year. His ongoing 2026 North American tour is very, very sold out, with resale prices reaching some absurd heights. Luckily for fans, there’s another recently announced option to catch Kahan, and it might just be the most enticing, Kahan’t miss event of all.

We’re of course talking about his annual destination festival, Out of the Blue. Earlier this year, Kahan hosted the event’s 2026 edition, which featured sets from acts like Mumford & Sons, Caamp, Role Model, Flipturn, and more. There was also the special Noah & Friends set (more on that later), beach soccer with the man himself, morning yoga with Leif Vollebekk, special poolside and beachside happenings, and a host of other unique experiences. “Best weekend of my life,” Kahan said in summation. We’re inclined to believe him.

And yet, Out of the Blue 2027 — returning to the Moon Palace Resort in Riviera Cancún, Mexico, from January 7th through January 10th, 2027 — might just prove to be even better. In addition to the many on-site, one-of-a-kind opportunities, the lineup boasts heavy hitters like Hayley Williams, Mt. Joy, The Head and the Heart, and more (with additional artists to be announced!). Find out why it’s set to be more magical than ever below. You can also learn more details and explore packages at the Out of the Blue website.

Noah Kahan’s Tour Is Super Sold Out

Like we said, Kahan’s “The Great Divide Tour” is super, mega, totally, completely, absolutely sold out. You can still test your luck on the secondary market, but at this rate, tickets to the World Cup might be cheaper and easier to get your hands on. With prices climbing, a destination festival curated by Kahan starts to become all the more attractive. At the moment, passes are still available, so this may be one of the better chances to catch a set within the next year.

Yet, it’s not just catching a set. It’s a whole, whole lot more. Like…

Hayley Freakin’ Williams

Another artist with hard-to-come-by-tickets, Hayley freakin’ Williams, is also co-headlining Out of the Blue 2027. The Paramore star has continued to ride off the back of her well-received 2025 album Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, which featured one of the best songs of last year. She’ll bring those tunes, as well as the rest of her solo catalog, to the Moon Palace Resort come January, and we wouldn’t be surprised if she brought her “The Hayley Williams Show” theatrics or hopped on stage with Kahan either (she’s done it before!).

Other Notable Names

Williams isn’t the only noteworthy name who will be heading down to the sandy beaches of Mexico. Out of the Blue 2027 will also feature sets from Mt. Joy (who will return to the extravaganza after missing last year’s edition), The Head and the Heart, Gregory Alan Isakov, Gigi Perez (who’s running it back after crushing her 2026 appearance), Del Water Gap, Buffalo Traffic Jam, and Mon Rovîa, with more to be announced. Even with the cliffhanger of what other great artists will be added down the line, it’s undeniably already a killer collection of music makers. And beyond their respective sets, make sure to keep an eye out for them to hop on stage during the always-special Noah & Friends set. What’s that, you ask? Well…

The Noah & Friends Set

It’s only the special super jam set full of surprises Kahan hosts each year at Out of the Blue. “Noah” refers to (you guessed it) your cordial host, while “friends” remains a secret until showtime. Artists from across the lineup (and beyond?) hop on stage with Kahan for covers, fresh renditions, and good times. Last year, for example, saw Kahan connect with figures like Perez, Flipturn, Arcy Drive, and more. The one-off supergroup covered such classics and new favorites as Radiohead’s “No Surprises,” Sufjan Stevens’ “Chicago,” MJ Lenderman’s “She’s Leaving You,” Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need,” Oasis’ “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” and The Band’s “The Weight,” just to name a few. Who knows what the madman has in store for 2027!

Vacation Mode (Everything Else)

Importantly, though, there’s much more to Noah Kahan’s Out of the Blue than just the music. It’s a core aspect, of course, but it’s also a destination festival, after all. That means that the experience also offers all of the local cultural staples and adventures, plus daily pool performances, late night concerts, up-close sit-ins with artists on the lineup, and surprise community experiences. Packages are also all-inclusive, meaning food, beverages, round-trip transportation between the airport and resort, and other amenities are included. (We recommend not missing out on the churros.)

Out of the Blue is a Noah Kahan show, a curated music festival with one-of-a-kind offerings, and a beach vacation all in one. Now’s your chance to secure your passes before they’re gone.
